I am Natalya, a person who loves doing holiday projects even long after the holidays have passed. Whim5seasons is my dream, a whimsical creative process every day, 5 seasons long.
Here in my store, we believe all people love to make things, but some just don’t have enough time. Our long-standing family tradition of making push pin satin ornaments started 25 years ago. It brought our family together every night, starting from Thanksgiving and continuing well up to Christmas. Grandmother’s treasures were taken out of her chest each year and scattered on a big table, where each of us would set out to make an ornament. It brought so much joy, and many stories were told and secrets revealed. We still look back at those times with nostalgia.
The early “vintage” creations looked scary at first, but as our children grew, so did the ornaments. Each year they became increasingly beautiful, and more addictive. We began adding new ribbons, beads, rhinestones, and other materials to the treasure chest. As a result, our creative process began to stretch throughout the year, affording us the chance to de-stress and enjoy crafting whenever we wanted.
Over the years friends and family members asked us to help them with their own ornaments, and the idea was born to start making kits as gifts, and from there … we are now here.
Whether it's for Christmas, Easter, Halloween or Valentine's Day, crafting is always a very special time. We believe with our kits anyone can find time to create, and surprise themselves and others.
